HOW TO DOWNLOAD AND PLAY TIBERIAN SUN FOR FREE
In the fifteenth year since the release of the first Command & Conquer game, EA officially released Tiberian Sun for free download! However installing it isn't quite straignt forward, but this guide will take you through it step-by-step:
First you need to get the game Download here.
The files have been compressed to save on filesize (and so EA can add unnecessary promotional material), you'll need to download and install WinRAR to extract them:
Double click the .rar file and click the Extract To button:
On the right hand side navigate to C:\Program Files and click OK at the bottom of the screen:
The files will now be extracted to your computer. In explorer navigate to the location of the unzipped files C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command & Conquer The First Decade:
Double-click the tibsun_regadd file:
You will see the dialoge box shown below, click Yes and you will see a sucess message:
Now the game is setup and ready to go, however I'm sure you'll want to play online, so keep reading:
Navigate to the Internet folder C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command & Conquer The First Decade\Internet
Double click the registerWOL file:
A DOS window will appear, click OK to the two sucess messages:
Now you'll see the message shown below, just press any key to dismiss it:
Tiberian Sun is now installed and playable both off and online simply by double-clicking the "Play Tiberian Sun" shortcut! If you encounter any other problems please refer to our bug fixing tutorials.
