RED ALERT LAN
Below is the official step-by step guide to playing Red Alert LAN from the C&C The First Decade compilation DVD.
Installation Instructions
- Download the network patch.
- Extract thipx32.dll to somewhere like your desktop
- Copy the patch file into the Red Alert installation directory, by default this is located at C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Command & Conquer The First Decade\Command & Conquer Red Alert(tm)
- It should ask you to confirm the replacement of thipx32.dll, click yes.
This enables LAN play in the game.
Playing Instructions
- Launch Red Alert from the TFD menu:
- Select Multiplayer Game from the Main Menu:
- Select "Network" from the Select Multiplayer Game Menu.
- Create a game and set your options. Select "OK" to launch the game once
other players have joined or select a game and click "Join" to join it.
