Offence Crawler Offence Crawler
The Crawler is the most important unit at the start of any game, as it forms the heart of presence on the battlefield, and allows you to produce units. The Crawler replaces the MCV seen in previous wars to meet the needs of defending the global Tiberium Control Network, they can quickly be deployed from orbit anywhere in the world and used to produce units whilst on the move. When deployed units held on board will be released and a repair facility made available. If you lose your Crawler in battle then a replacement can be re-deployed to a suitable safe zone, however there is a delay in doing so.
Composite Armor Composite Armor
Replaces the standard armor with a cutting edge composite material that is stronger and lighter than normal. Very useful if you anticipate moving your Crawler into combat hot zones.
Advanced Composite Armour Advanced Composite Armor
Uses an experimental composite armor material that further increases the health and speed of your Crawler.

Engineer

Engineer
Engineers are unarmed infantry units, but offer a wide array of strategic options in battle. One engineer has the potential to repair ground units and infantry, they can also be ordered to escort a particular unit healing them if necessary. It is always beneficial to have at least one at the back of an assault force. They are also equipped with mine and stealth detection sensors while their jetpacks enable even vertical cliffs to be traversed with ease.

Upgrades the HUD systems so that the Engineer can see further into unexplored territory and detect enemy targets from greater range.
Speed Boost Speed Boost
This upgrade performs an on-battlefield upgrade of the propulsion systems of the Engineer granting them increased movement speed.

Talon

Inspired by the VTOL technology of the support class the Talon is capable of hovering a few inches above the ground, an ideal way to negotiate the Tiberium ravaged world. As a result it is one of the fastest land units on the battlefield, plus it has the ability to scale cliffs.

Upgrades the targeting systems so that the Talon can see further into unexplored territory and fire at enemy targets from greater range.
Speed Boost Speed Boost
This upgrade performs an on-battlefield upgrade of the propulsion systems of the Spanner granting them increased movement speed.
Accuracy Boost Accuracy Boost
Purchasing this on-crawler upgrade equips the Hunter with a higher grade targeting system boasting an improved heat-seeking target tracking system, vastly increasing the amount of ordinance that will hit its target.
Missile Storm Missile Storm
Upgrades the warheads attached to the rockets so that they deal splash damage. Even if they miss their intended target they will still cause some damage.

Hunter

Standard Tank, equipped with reinforced Kevlar wheels instead of tracks. It is only manned by the most experienced tank commanders and as a result gains veterancy faster than others on the battlefield.

Wolf

Wolf
The Wolf's dual high velocity chain gun weapon is capable of wreaking havoc against infantry and light aircraft. When engaging Nod defence class it's very useful to have a squad of these in your forces.

Titan MKII

Titan MKII
The second incarnation of this unit was introduced following third war and is one of the few units to remain operational since then. However GDI engineers have seen fit to upgrade it. Gone is the 120mm cannon, instead the Titan now boasts a laser weapon making it the multipurpose defence/offence force to be reckoned with. It's speed, although not amazing is good enough to intercept all but the fastest of scouts, this is negated by the beam weapon which slows the speed of targeted enemies.

Bulldog

Bulldog
Designed for recon and hit and run tactics, the Bulldog sacrifices armour for speed, but it is not completely without merit. The speed means you can grab Tiberium crystals, while the roof-mounted shotgun and stealth detection array keep it safe from other tier 1 aggressors.

Some see this as the evolution of the Wolverine which was retired following a brief re-commission during the Third War. The short stubby legs have been replaced with more elegant ones allowing for a more powerful laser weapon to be fitted. The hydraulics are also strong enough to enable the lightweight chassis to jump directly up and down sheer cliff faces!

Following the success of the Shatterer unit in the previous war, the experimental unit received a significant overhaul and instead of being limited to a small section of the GDI forces, has been rolled out to all offence classes. Its Sonic Cannon retains the ability to literally shake heavy targets to pieces! Furthermore the effect is long lasting as any small defect will become worse and cause damage over time.

This upgrade adds a resonating pod capable of detecting hostile stealth signatures and neutralising their effects. Allowing your forces to target previously stealthed units.

Sandstorm

Sandstorm
The Sandstorm is a direct descendant of the Hover MLRS from the Second War. It is capable of launching salvos of explosive tipped rockets at targets with extreme accuracy, devastating any Medium armoured units both land and air based. The hover chassis enables the Sandstorm to fill a multipurpose role as a hit-and-run attacker, scout and first responder. Furthermore it is able to scale practically any obstacle in the Tiberium-ravaged battlefields; natural or manmade.
Missile Storm Missile Storm
Changes the ammo loadout for slightly less powerful rockets but faster rockets. This reduction in size means more can be loaded into the launchers so the barrage is larger than normal.

Commando

With Nod's increased use of power armour and cyborg units, the traditional Commando equipped with anti-infantry weaponry was becoming increasingly redundant, however GDI command was not willing to let the highly trained corps go to waste, so equipped them instead with rocket weapons thus allowing them to take on medium vehicles and aircraft. Not only that, but Commandos can enter any friendly vehicles and pass their combat experience onto the commander, instantly giving it veteran status. Their jet packs allow them to cover large distances very quickly and scale cliff faces.

Demolitions Kit Demolitions Kit
Formerly standard equipment for Commandos, C4 is now optional. It can be affixed to structures or the legs of large walker units to deal significant damage.

Mammoth Tank

The sight of the Mammoth Tank strikes fear into even the most battle hardened commando as lesser units are destroyed in front of their eyes. In its third incarnation it has stupidly huge amounts of armour and firepower. Of course you have to pay for this, and it's in the speed department, the slow ROF means it's not so great against infantry, but the mounted rocket launcher ensures that pesky aircraft are kept at bay. It also has a little known ability deployed by only the most experienced of commanders, the taunt laser scrambles the targeting systems of enemy units and forces them to attack this heavily armoured unit, giving your other units time to reach their target.
Mirror Plating Mirror Plating
Equips the Mammoth Tank with an experimental type of armour based off the Refractor unit's technology. The shots of hostile units are likely to be reflected directly back at them, damaging the attacker and other nearby foes!
Backup Systems Backup Systems
When large units are destroyed they leave a husk on the battlefield. This upgrade uses nanotech repair technology to gradually recover the Mammoths' systems following a catastrophic failure. Given time damage will be sufficiently repaired allowing the unit to reactivate at half-health without the intervention of an engineer.

Refractor

The front of the Refractor is equipped with a plate of an experimental armour type capable of reflecting the shots of enemy units directly back at them, damaging the attacker. This plate does need to be dropped temporarily to fire its weapon, giving experienced Nod commanders an brief moment to inflict damage. The plating is only present on the front, so be sure to protect against flanking attacks.

Enhances the experimental refracting armour to further increase its effectiveness. The shots of hostile units are also likely to be reflected back at other nearby foes!

Mastodon

Following recent developments in walker technology a camp within GDI command wished to see a return to the much-revered Mammoth MKII, while others were still hesitant and preferred the proven track record of the more traditional chassis of the MKIII. Well both camps got their way; enter the Mastodon. This towering walker unit is equipped with chin-mounted artillery battery capable of blowing away heavy units, as well as dorsal-mounted rocket launchers to handle medium and airborne assaults.
Dispersion Bays Dispersion Bays
Explosive charges are deployed from chutes along both sides of the unit without warning causing massive damage. This is particularly useful if the slow-moving Mastodon has become surrounded by enemy forces.
